Swimming splashes to a 2nd place finish at state meet

swimmingEagles Swimming stormed to a 2nd place finish at the TAPPS State Championships.

Head coach Bob Perkins led the team to the highest finish for the program in recent history.

The team set new school standards for the program as a whole.

Top-three finishes from each of the three relay teams and seven of the eight individual events had double scores.

Juan Gonzales ’16 and Xavier Ramirez ’15 broke school records in finishing second in the 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke.
New school records also belong to Gonzales in the 200 freestyle, Parker Guillemette ’17 in the 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke, and the 200 medley relay team of Guillemette, Joe Pelletier ’16, Gonzales and James Zetka ’17.
