The way we watch TV is changing. Netflix is the future of television with almost any show at the click

of a button. This method of entertainment is awesome for high school kids because we do not have to

worry about missing our favorite shows because we can watch them a few days later on Netflix.

Netflix is the greatest turn TV has taken and here are five show you should watch that are very

popular on Netflix.

Many of us students love actor Danny McBride,

also known as Kenny Powers, and he is the main

attraction of this insanely funny comedy. It is all

about a former minor league pitcher struggling

with life and the troubles of being a failed

professional athlete. After a sketchy career in the

Big Leagues he must return to his hometown school in North Carolina to substitute teach P.E. He is

extremely cocky and is obsessed with the ladies but struggles with them at the same time. It is

hilarious and definitely recommend giving it a try if you like an overconfident baseball player with a

raging curly mullet. This show is not a Netflix original program, but it is growing in popularity

through Netflix.

Orange is the New Blackorange is the new black

“Orange is the New Black” is one of the hottest

shows on Netflix right now. The show is

extremely funny with a toxic plot. The main

character must go to a correctional facility

because she ran drug money for her lesbian

partner. The show follows Piper, the main

character, on her journey through prison. It brings a new perspective on the harsh reality of spending

time in prison. It is a Netflix

“Arrested Development” is a dark comedy about

a wealthy dysfunctional family that ends up

losing all of its money in the first episode of the

show. They struggle with money management

because the father and mother of the family

cannot control their irresponsible adult children with their fortune. The main character’s father is in

jail for fraud, which is the main source of their financial problems throughout the series. They end up

having to giving everything they own and move in with their son and brother who hates his family

after they did not award him a high position in their company. This show is absolutely hilarious, but

is finished. It is four seasons spanning from 2003 to 2013.

House of CardsHOUSE OF CARDS

“House of Cards” is an scandalous political

drama starring Academy Award winning actor

Kevin Spacey as Congressman Frank

Underwood. The drama is set in Washington

D.C. in the present depicting a cunning and somewhat evil congressman’s journey to the highest

position of power in the world. He teams up with journalists, other political figures and his wife to

manipulate Washington so he can get what he wants: power. This series shows the illegal activities

that may actually be behind today’s politicians. It is two seasons long and the third will be released in

early 2015.

Trailer Park Boysto do_trailer park boys_provided.widea

“Trailer Park Boys” is ridiculous. It is almost

entirely men with pistols running around a

trailer park being as unproductive as humanly

possible. It is slapstick humor that cannot be

compared to any other show on this list. It shows

the journey of a group of trailer park residents, some of which are ex convicts, living in a trailer park

in Nova Scotia, Canada. This show is eight seasons long with feature films that aired after the show

ended.
