Foods of Houston

We asked about favorite restaurants around the Houston area, in an attempt to expose our community to a finer banqueting experience.

Whether we realize it or not, Houston is an epicenter for cultural and ethnic cuisine.

Our oil, gas and technological industries ferry in floods of individuals from all four corners of the globe. With them comes their exquisite knowledge of food and drink.

The things we learn inside of school help define us as intellects, but it is the experiences outside of the classroom that help mold us into the men we are supposed to be.

I believe it is our utmost responsibility to broaden our horizons, to delve past the surface of the ordinary, to fill our plate with foreign and unusual foods that will exemplify our vast knowledge of the finer dining experience.

Running a newspaper is something senior Peyton Gist has grown to master. He is the current Managing Editor of "The Eagle." He got his start last year as the editor for entertainment, where he worked his way up the ladder and ended up writing a bunch of staff editorials, and mastered the art of using a paper to anonymously throw shade. This year, he is in charge of ensuring that the eighty-eight year old paper lives up to its expectations. Saint Thomas has grown to be a home for him, and if he isn't sitting quietly in class or walking silently down the hall, he is most likely in the publications room working on the paper. Although he does this work for free, if he got paid for his effort he would really make bank.
