The Revenant, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, was released to critical acclaim last January.

Finally, after 5 Academy Award’s nominations, Leonardo DiCaprio secured his first Oscar win for his stellar performance in The Revenant.

This marks a monumental occasion for DiCaprio, not only in terms of his achievement in acting, but also in his internet career.  DiCaprio has been an internet sensation over the past few years as the star of relentless commentary about his unsuccessful ability to attain the prestigious award.

Those days are behind Leo.  In fact, being the good spirit that he is, he was shown in a video casually poking fun at himself while getting his Oscar engraved.

DiCaprio winning the Oscar bodes well for his future endeavors as he seeks out meaningful work in the acting community.  It truly shows in his performance that in all of his movies he gives a full 100%.   Hopefully DiCaprio still holds this virtue true for the future.

The only unfortunate fragment of DiCaprio winning the Oscar is the death of the “Leo can’t win the Oscar” meme.  This is a wretched yet joyful occasion for all of those internet kids across the globe.  As one star rises, another one falls.  Congratulations, Leo.

Leo has finally won an Oscar and it is well deserved.

Will, or as most people refer to him as "that kid who drives the Prius." Once in the second grade, Will wrote to the Houston Zoo about the Okapi exhibit to complain how the tree stump in the middle of the exhibit was disrupting the Okapi's daily life. Needless to say, the zookeeper had no idea what Will was talking about.
