Whataburger versus Chick-fil-A. It is the match-up of the century. Two famous and cherished institutions going head to head.
Unfortunately for Whataburger, Chick-fil-A has maintained the title in this battle. Ever since it was founded in 1946, the hearts of hungry humans have been won over.
There is just something about walking into a Chick-fil-A that makes you feel at home. First the smell of the perfectly cooked chicken, then the ultra-friendly service of literally all of the workers. You order your food, they greet you with a smile and they call you by name. It just makes you feel good and brightens your day at the least.
As you sip your refreshing beverage, you hear your name. Your food is ready. Last time you checked the order was put in 5 seconds ago. Biting into the perfectly cooked chicken only entices happy thoughts.
The experience of eating at a Chick-fil-A is second to none. Not other establishment provides adequate, enthusiastic service. This perk elevates the happy atmosphere and delicious food Chick-fil-A has obtained today.
I have been to both Chick-fil-A and Whataburger numerous times. No doubt, both restaurants are at the top of my list, however, Whataburger has downsides that diminish its quality and competition.
Primarily, the service at Whataburger is not of the utmost sincerity as Chick-fil-A. There are two types of workers at Whataburger. The first includes an annoyed waitress who cannot wait for her shift to end. Instead of fixating on her current obligations during her job, she counts down to the time she can watch some god-awful reality television show like Keeping up with the Kardashians or Desperate Housewives of Orange County.
The second includes the guy who received his job the day before. As he takes five minutes to find the button for your patty melt meal, you can recognize him.
Next, the food.
This is an especially tough one to talk about because both institutions serve mouthwatering delicacies. Whataburger’s patty melt, Chicken Strips, and Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger are among the greats in the fast food industry. Although their food is a top choice among the American people, Chick-fil-A is actually proven to be America’s favorite fast food. In a recent study, researchers found that more people go to Chick-fil-A over any other fast food restaurant. Stats do not lie my friends.
The final difference can be found in the exceptional quality of the food. Each and every thing that comes out of Chick-fil-A’s kitchen is cooked perfectly: the historic Number One, to the bites, to the large party platters that everyone loves. Not to mention, their waffle fries are far superior to Whataburger’s slim, soggy, and pathetic excuse.
The only way that a person does not eat Chick-fil-A is because they are allergic to peanuts. To those people I mourn, for they have never had the life-changing experience of enjoying america’s favorite fast food.
By now you should be craving some Chick-fil-A, so head on down to the nearest location and pick up a little piece of heaven.
In the world of Texas fast food, Whataburger reigns supreme.
There are few things that scream Texas as much as pulling up to the orange and white haven after a Friday night football game.
If you ever find yourself wanting a Chick-fil-A sandwich at night, that’s too bad; it’s probably closed. And if it happens to be Sunday? Sorry. Whataburger, on the other hand, is open 24/7.
You can dig in to an All-Time Favorite such as the Patty Melt or A1 Thick and HeartyBurger anytime you want, and if those aren’t for you, it’s okay because there are currently 36,864 different ways to order a Whataburger. At Chick-fil-A, your only decision is a sandwich or nuggets.
Yes, the chicken is delicious, but Whataburger chicken holds its own. Dip it in the gravy with a side of Texas Toast and you’re in business. Once you’re done comparing the chicken, what else does Chick-fil-A have to offer? Additionally, Whataburger is home to the greatest breakfast food ever created: The Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. Whataburger has too many fantastic options for Chick-fil-A to even compare.
If you need any more convincing, I have two words for you: Fancy Ketchup. Whataburger ketchup is so good that they sell it by the bottle in grocery stores.
Also, a key part of the Whataburger experience that you simply can’t get anywhere else is found in an unlikely place: the order numbers. Whataburger is the only place where collecting the order numbers is as popular as the food itself. No one wants to collect the weird cups they give you at Chick-fil-A. How many Chick-fil-A cups have you seen on people’s dashboards? That’s what I thought.
Whataburger is undoubtedly the cornerstone of Texas fast food. It was named the most popular fast food chain in Texas by Thrillist. If you’re with friends at night looking for a place to sit down, get a quick meal, and have a good time, nothing tops Whataburger. It’s as iconic as fast food can get. Their food is so good it’s not hard to see why.
