The cross country season ended this past weekend with the Eagles placing third at the state meet in Waco.

The cross country team is less than four weeks away from the district meet and then on to the state meet in Waco on Oct. 22. So far the Eagles have looked sharp on all levels and will put it all on the line for a state title.

Last year the Eagle cross country team came up short at state, placing second overall. The seniors were the core of the varsity with John Cantu leading the way.

St. Thomas has been known for its high standard for academics over the past 110 years and is usually at the top of the charts in athletics, as well.
