VS. Limiting firearm availability unconstitutional

Over the past couple of weeks, politicians and different groups have been calling for stricter gun control and a looser interpretation of the Second Amendment. They question the availability of certain gun types and ammunition.

These same politicians use the word “gun” as a bad word. They want their readers or followers to think of firearms as a bad thing.

However, firearms are not the problem.

The real problem lies with the user of the firearm.

The Second Amendment was created by the delegates of the states at the constitutional convention.

The Second Amendment states that, “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

The delegates created this simple statement to secure and solidify the right of the people to keep and use firearms.

They did not mean to have limitations on what types of firearms. Politicians are calling for more limitations on weapons being sold to civilians.

When you put limitations on firearms only the good, law-abiding people will listen. Criminals that have access to the deadly firearms will always have access to these weapons and will continue to do bad things with them.

The states of California and New York have some of the most lenient gun laws in the United States; that does not stop people from murdering, robbing and stealing cars there. In California alone over the past ten years, there have been 25,000 murders.

The states with the most lenient gun laws such as Alaska, Montana, and Texas have less than 8,000 murders a year.

This is evidence that having lenient gun laws for people that follow the law can protect themselves or others that are being attacked or harmed by delinquents.

Would you rather have no guns and have criminals still able to obtain guns? Because they can and they still will. Or, would you rather have firearms available for personal protection in everyday life?

The word “gun” has been objectified as a bad thing and as something that should not be around at all.

The idea of a “gun’ should not be bad at all.

When someone thinks of a gun they should think of a personal protection firearm. These are our rights given to us by the Constitution.

In the early 20th century there was a crazy man named Adolf Hitler. He said, “To conquer a country, you must first disarm its citizens.”

Hitler said this before he started to take control of Europe.

The citizens of all the countries could not fight back or resist the Nazi rule because they had no firearms. Obviously, Hitler was correct and he went on to take over all of mainland Europe.

Do not let your guns be taken or have this right taken. It is part of what makes us free, and it is part of what makes us America.
