Chess Team Ranks 2nd at the 2021 Catholic/Private Schools Chess Tournament

On Saturday, November 6th,  the St. Thomas Chess Team placed second over –all amongst all Houston-area Catholic and Private schools.  Among the standouts was Junior Charlie O’Leary who tied for 1st place amongst all high school players.

Mr. Cuneo puts his credibility on the line by making the prediction that the St. Thomas Chess Team WILL take home the Cardinal’s Trophy in the 2022 tournament.

To be a part of this historic achieve​ment, remember that the Chess Club meets every Wednesday and Thursday immediately after the dismissal bell.  New members are always welcome and no experience is necessary.  Consider being a part of this epic quest; hone your skills under the tutelage of Master-level coach John Gardner.
