Luke Edgecomb, a friend, a son, and a fighting eagle, is newly committed to the Northern Arizona State. Northern Arizona University is a division one FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) program located in as the name hints northern Arizona, the school itself sits on around 7,000 feet of elevation and is home to how around 28,000 students. Not only did Luke have this offer but many other offers from D1 programs around the United States as well.
“I just felt like it was the place for me,” Luke Edgcomb said after announcing his recent commitment.
No one is more deserving of this opportunity than Luke Edgcomb. He is a three-year varsity starter with countless touchdowns to his name and thousands of receiving yards. As a matter of fact, in Luke’s senior year, he broke the all-time receiving record and the receiving record for one year.
Thanks to the hard work, dedication, and leadership skills Luke exhibited he was able to play a huge role in helping the St. Thomas Eagles go to the state championship. Not only does Luke play a tremendous role on the football team but he also plays baseball as well, and in the year prior, to his junior season, he again helped to take a St Thomas team to play in a state title game, but unfortunately again they came up short.
As seen above Luke is a superstar on the field he is also one off the field Luke has maintained a 3.8 cumulative GPA throughout his four years at St. Thomas. While balancing football, and baseball, being an Eagle ambassador, a senior leader, a member of the student council, and an important member of the round-up board.
“He is the face of our school,” Luke Jameson ‘24 said.
