Choosing a high school as an eighth grader is very hard. There are many great high schools in Houston and even after a shadow day at a high school people can still be left indecisive. I think a great way for St. Thomas to get the attention of rising freshman is by changing the ordinary shadow visits that leave some people indecisive and extending them to a full day. By having a full day at St. Thomas, shadows could get more comfortable and feel at home. They could experience all the classes they would take as Freshman and they would see what St. Thomas really has to offer. I think by showing them a full day as a freshman they could also have an honest decision of what school they want. Especially because some schools make their school look better on shadow visits and therefore leave the incoming freshmen confused if their experience is really going to be like that if they attend that school.
