I believe shadow visits are not only to have the eighth graders come out and see if they like the feel of our school, but a shadow should also be for us to see if the student is truly a good student and good fit for our school. After each shadow, we tend to ask the middle schooler how it was and how was their shadow was. I believe after they leave, a staff member should sit down with the ambassador and ask questions about the middle schooler to see if, in their opinion, he would be a good fit for the St. Thomas community. In doing this the staff would get a review of the student from the person that was with them all day.
