St. Thomas High School added a new policy of a “soft bell schedule” in the school year of 2019 to 2020 and beyond. I personally like this policy because the teachers can utilize these extra minutes for some further demonstrations for homework and instructions. It also gives the students more opportunities to squeeze in some questions before the class officially ends. I think this policy encourages students to be more focused on their work during class so that they are not off-task up to the bell that ends the class. Therefore, I greatly support this new policy and hope for its continuation in the future at St. Thomas.
