Last year, as a freshman I went to Lamar High School and after a bad experience I made a great decision with my family to transfer to St. Thomas High School. I understood with the precautions taken by the school because of Covid 19, transitioning was going to be more challenging.  Work  wise the transition has been smooth, but getting to understand the system was and has been been a bit of a hassle. Yes, orientation helped us some but something they didn’t do, which I’m struggling with, is finding my classes and getting around the school. I’m always stressed about being late because of this, I think that if St. Thomas  found a way to help new students have an idea where their classes are going into school  it would be a much smoother transition.
